Joe Dickstein
Vice Chairman, PPI Financial Group
Joe Dickstein is a Partner and Vice Chairman of PPI Financial Group. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Joe was an agent and manager for Crown Life Insurance Company. He was the President of Westmount Life Insurance Company for 15 years and subsequently a Director and member of the Executive Committee of Prudential of America Life Insurance Company (Canada) and is currently a Director of Equitable Trust Company.
In 1981 he co-founded PPI Financial Group where he is now Vice Chairman. PPI is the largest independent life insurance marketing organization in Canada.
Joe has worked closely for many years with entrepreneurs and their advisors in customizing the insurance component of financial and succession plans for family businesses.
Joe has spoken at the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Financial Planners, the Canadian Association of Family Enterprise conference, the Family Firm Institute in the United States, Million Dollar Round Table, and CLU Annual Meetings in Canada and the U.S., and many other industry conferences. He is the author of the insurance section of the series on Family Owned Business published by Canada Law Book Inc.
Joe has been a member of many Study Groups – and has been an interested observer of the dynamics affecting these groups both with great success and less than great success over many years.
Barry Rebuck T.E.P., E.P.C.
Barry Rebuck has been in the financial field for over 40 years with experience in marketing various insurance products, mortgages, mutual funds, banking accounts and loans.
After emigrating to Canada with his wife and daughter in 1975, Barry joined Crown Life and the following year moved to Imperial Life as a representative. In 1984 Barry established Rebuck & Associates and became a full time independent broker.
His designations include being a member of the Society or Trusts & Estate Practitioners [TEP] Elder Planning Counselor [EPC]. Barry is a member of Advocis, CALU and the Million Dollar Round Table [MDRT]. He has served as a Director of the Life Underwriters Association from 1997 to 1998 and volunteered as a Moderator for 4 years. Barry was also the first Chairman of his Associations Mentoring Program and served in that capacity for the first 2 years of the program.
Zoltan Barszo, B.A.
Since 1980, Zoltan Barzso has distinguished himself by offering exemplary service to his clients and by sharing his knowledge. He has helped businesses to provide meaningful employee benefits and develop strategies for succession planning and estate transfer.
Zoltan is a subject matter expert on the topic of group benefits. He has shared his expertise with the Regulators of Insurance for The Province of Ontario, and many Senior Agents. He has also spoken on the topics of Life Insurance, Group Benefits, and Marketing on many occasions.
As a leader in the insurance industry, Zoltan has been involved with the following organizations:
Roger McMillan, CFP, CLU, CH.F.C. (Toronto) – APA Chair
Born in England, Roger McMillan came to Canada in 1956. He graduated from the University of Toronto, majoring in Economics. A member of LUAC/CAIFA/Advocis since 1972, Roger is the Past Chair of TFAAC and the Chair of the Advocis Protective Association. Roger was a member of the CAIFA Board of Directors during the merger of CAIFA and CAFP and served as president of the CAIFA Toronto Chapter in 1993. He has previously served on a number of national committees such as Chair of the Best Practices sub-committee and as a member of the Members Services Committee, as well as representing Advocis on the OSC Fair Dealing Model sub committee. Roger is a member of the Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting (“CALU”).
Roger operates his own planning and insurance firm working with small business owners.
