Greg Barnsdale, CFP, LFD  Greg entered the funeral industry at the age of 18.He has worked for various sized funeral homes, including one of the largest family owned firms in the country. Greg has also worked as an examiner with the Ontario Board of Funeral Services. After spending over 12 years in the funeral industry, Greg decided to pursue a career in financial services. He has worked in the financial planning industry for 15 years and has earned his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Greg works with the family and senior market providing mutual funds, annuities, GIC’s and various forms of insurance. Greg has been intrigued with society’s common problem of not properly planning ahead with regard to ‘end of life’ planning. Too many situations are complicated by lack of communication and lack of proactive planning. Greg’s passion is to help more people discuss this important topic and properly plan ahead. Having built (and continuing to manage) a financial planning practice in Barrie Ontario, Greg works regularly in the estate-planning field and in conjunction with the funeral industry. He is one of the few financial advisors, who has the unique experience of also being a funeral director. This gives Greg a perspective shared by few. |
